I so genuinely enjoyed this game, mainly for the MC. So often you either find the main character relatively blank so that you can project more easily into them or the other side of the scale where they are too much, but I really think this MC is such a well fleshed out and enjoyable character. It makes sense that the rest of the cast come to like him and revolve around him in the story because how can you not like him. He is genuinely a great guy who's only real flaw is that he's been broken, but you get to see him pull himself back together and grow with the story alongside the other characters (who are also great by the way). yeah I didn't project into him as much as I might in another game but I think he's a great focal point in the story.
Some ingame information on the Discernment Protocol would be nice! both symbols look bad with on looking like it's rebellious and the other looking like destruction. So what do they mean and which one is supposed to be good/bad.
Is it possible to play the game on linux? I know the symbol indicates windows only but sometimes one can run it on linux anyway, hence the question. Thx
So I've never gone through drug withdrawal before, but now that I've finished what has been released so far, I can at least relate. I wasn't ready!! I was just storming along and BOOM, done. I had to go for a drive. I didn't know what to do with myself.
If their past is any indication probably spring of next year sadly will be the next update and yeah I 100% feel you. I will be re reading the entire thing when it finally comes out again it was so good.

I bought this based on the reviews and Artemis is THE best AVN I’ve ever played! When I finally hit chapter 6 I had the same feeling that I get when a book I’m really diggin is almost over. ‘Course, this isn’t the end.. but same feeling. It’s intelligent and funny and damn sexy, and I can not WAIT for more! Thank you for making this!!!
FINALLY for the first time ive found a story with an attractive MC. ive played sooo many novels where the mc is goofy looking but you have done a great job designing these characters and none of them look under 18 & childish. THANK YOU
update: ive been playing for 2 days and so far i reaaally like the story. but about the characters - the only character i dont like is june because of her anime chucky hair. the style and color makes her look 45 so im confused on what her age is supposed to be. there was a flashback scene of her in blonde hair and she looked faaantastic and actually attractive but also much younger but apparently its only 5 years ago. katy paige and zelda look like college students but the rest of the women im not sure how old they are so it throws me off. reina and kindra are the most attractive. reina is my favorite. her eyes makeup and hair are perfectly made. i know you can be in college at any age but i thought they were all in their 20s, just doesnt look like it.
the writing is great though i wish this was a tv show :)
i like the hunt for the sd cards, although i often forget to even look for them so i dont have many. i dont know how to unlock the dataleaks though.
Most AVN's use a very similar file structure to this. You want to run the application file, not the python file. In Windows finder it's the _ARTEMIS with filetype application (.exe).

It looks like 0.6.1b doesn't support linux so your best bet is probably to use wine or switch to a different OS. You could also maybe try to manually make it compatible (or ask the creator and if enough ask...) but I have no idea what that would involve and there's probably a reason linux isn't supported

Also the previous release up to version 5 had an .sh file, so I think the dev either deleted it or failed to click the checkbox to include it when the software was building the game for release.
I'm pretty sure all he has to do to fix this is to re-build it and either reupload it whole or reupload the missing parts, which should just be some .sh files: One in the base folder and another folder with them with each one being for a different type of system.

Yes, it worked fine I completed the chapter, I also just did a fresh install to verify the download did not change. On your system check that you got all the files in the lib/py3-linux-x86_64 folder copied in, I have 6 files; “_ARTEMIS librenpython.so python pythonw zsync zsyncmake” in mine also they all have 755 permissions on the files (check with ls -l).
If that does not identify your problem see if you have the game/saves folder and the “$HOME/.renpy/_ARTEMIS.memories” It keeps a copy of the saves from previous so that new version don’t need to the game/saves folder that renpy keeps for the current game. On my machine this was created in chapter 4.
I almost sat on this game after playing the demo. Luckily I'm finally not hurting for cash or I would have put this one off and missed out on an AMAZING story line. Insanely detailed, great characters, perfect plot. With the demo, I saw it had potential but so many potential plotlines can end up disappointing. If the demo had go all the way through chapter 2 there is no way I would have considered sitting on this one. The demo is ok and only a tiny fraction of what this VN is, pay the money, it will blow you away.

Dev is notorious for his extremely slow rate of work.
Too many women to choose from leads to this, wasn't necessary. I know we enjoy it, but it's a trap for devs.

It is, at least on Patreon, I have no clue why they didn't upload the same binaries as on Patreon.
v0.6.2 came out today, hopefully they update Itch today as well.

Extremely well written. Engaging story with good humor elements, dialog feels natural and the character development doesn't feel rushed. 10/10.

Ok so I managed to download the game, but it won't run.
the python file just throws errors and says to use the .sh file, but there's no .sh file! :-(

I was able to just copy over the .sh and library files and it ran without problem.
Did you try to run it?
Cause I tried that and while the game ran, the save files didn't work.
Instead, it booted me back to the start of the game! :-(
